We’ve made a small but important update to how reviews are counted on Prosple — and it significantly increases the credibility of every employer profile.
Previously, we counted the number of people who submitted reviews. For example:
If one graduate shared feedback across 10 different categories (e.g. culture, career progression, salary, training, etc.), it was recorded as 1 review in the totals.
Now, we count each individual category review toward the total.
Using the same example above, that graduate’s submission would now contribute 10 reviews (1 per category).
Greater accuracy: This reflects the real volume of feedback provided, instead of underreporting by grouping multiple ratings into “1.”
Enhanced credibility: Employers now show a much stronger base of reviews, demonstrating robust and transparent feedback.
Consistency: Each piece of feedback is recognised in the totals, aligning with how students actually engage with and read reviews.
Review numbers on your profile will increase by about 12x on average.
No new reviews were added — this is purely a change in how existing feedback is counted.
Will this affect my ratings or scores?
No — your average ratings remain exactly the same. Only the total count of reviews has changed.
Does this mean I have more graduates submitting reviews?
Not quite — the number of individual reviewers is the same. What’s different is that we now acknowledge all the detailed feedback they provided.
Why didn’t you do this before?
Our previous method was a simpler way of counting, but it didn’t fully reflect the richness of feedback collected. This update gives a more transparent and accurate representation of your reviews.
